Travel Tuesday | Las Vegas, Nevada | Cincinnati & Las Vegas Photographer

A few weeks ago, we traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada for the first time and we fell in love with the area! When most people think of Las Vegas, they think of the Vegas strip itself, full of hotels and casinos. Truthfully, it’s what I thought of too! My dad moved out there and has been trying to convince me otherwise for quite some time.  The strip is such a small part of the area, and it’s definitely cool to see, but the gorgeous scenery doesn’t get enough credit.  We took the kids down to see some of the themed hotels and, of course, the famous light show at the Bellaggio, and then spent the next few days at Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, and my favorite, Valley of Fire. That last one is officially on my list of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in real life.

I’m also really excited to make a little announcement! Because Las Vegas is easy for me to travel to, I’m officially opening my schedule to clients in the Las Vegas area at zero travel costs!  That means, Las Vegas couples will pay the same rates as couples local to Cincinnati!  Know anyone getting married in Vegas?? I’d love to be their wedding photographer! I’m so excited for this new venture and can’t wait to see where it takes me!

Enjoy our trip to Vegas…it’s mostly landscapes, but there’s a few of my little family sprinkled in there too 🙂 XO

The Las Vegas sign! You know we had to be cheesy tourists 🙂

I LOVE watching Giada on Food Network, so imagine how excited I was when I saw her restaurant! (Photo on the left is the art display on the ceiling inside the Bellaggio. So, so cool.)

Ava’s favorite part of the strip…a cupcake ATM.  You input your selection, pay, and out pops a yummy cupcake.  Who am I kidding, I loved this too!

The inside of the Venetian got me pumped for our upcoming trip to Italy!

The Flamingo is the oldest casino on the strip.  It was the first!

The strip at night is very cool, and there are so many over-the-top things to see. It’s a little like a birthday party and the circus mixed together. Waiting on the light show at the Bellagio to start, we watched this lady get her caricature drawn!

The light show set to the tune of Bruno Mars’s “Uptown Funk” 🙂

Hoover Dam is massive!! So much bigger than a photo can ever show. We saw it from the new Mike O’Callaghan/Pat Tillman bridge, and then drove down and stood on it.  Looking down the curves of the dam is enough to give anyone a little shock because of the size, so I don’t have many photos from the dam side looking down! I’m not afraid of heights, but it even made me a little nervous!

This was our favorite part of the trip! Valley of Fire National Park is absolutely breathtaking.  It was a little chilly while we were out there, so we didn’t get to hike, but the kids loved climbing and exploring on the rocks and in all the little nooks.  Just a beautiful area!

Beautiful shots, but i am biased toward the kids LOL. Vegas is one of my favorite spots to vacation.
